This is a group assessment. Students will collaboratively present the final design of their eDNA sampler as well as demonstrate the assembly and operation.

Students will have the opportunity to practice their seminar and demonstration during class on Friday April 24, 2026, as well as outside of class on Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 9:00 am.

The presentation should include the sections below:
(1) Background, (2) System Overview, (3) Materials and Costs, (4) Assembly Steps, (5) System Performance including sub sections on (a) Power Consumption, (b) Calibration and (c) Data Quality, (6) Proposed Field Application Example, (7) Potential Education and Outreach Applications, (8) Modifications and Future Development and (9) Conclusions.
The presentation should be 40 minutes in length.
The demonstration should be approximately 10 minutes in length.
Students should be prepared to answer questions from the audience for approximately 10 minutes following their presentation and demonstration.
